A French series for Netflix, which will be filmed this summer in Alicante, is looking for 2,000 extras in the city who want to participate in the project. The production company has called for a casting on the 27th, 28th, and 29th of May at the Eurostars Centrum hotel to select the extras. The Alicante City&Beach Tourism Board, through Alicante Film Office, is collaborating with the production company that plans to film ’Nero’ this summer at Ciudad de la Luz, as reported by the Alicante City Council in a statement.

What are the requirements?The series is set in southern France in the 16th century, so the required criteria are not having a modern haircut or dye, no visible tattoos or piercings, and preferably having a slim figure. They are looking for men and women between 18 and 70 years old, and those chosen will be registered in the Social Security system, so their work will be paid, as explained by the production company.

What is the series about?’Nero’ is an adventure and action series. It tells the story of a hitman in the service of a nobleman, hungry for power, who must save his own daughter, whom he barely knows, from those who want to end her life. Thus, an odyssey begins for him and his daughter through a drought-stricken France, accompanied by an old monk and by the daughter of his lord, promised to a princely wedding. This ”antihero” will end up becoming a hero to save his daughter from the clutches of the evil that threatens the world.
