Uuden rantakäytävän osuuden rakennustyöt alkavat Benamara-alueella Esteponassa (Málaga)

Estepona (Málaga), May 22. (EUROPA PRESS) – The Estepona City Council has announced the start of construction on a new section of the coastal corridor, specifically in the Benamara area. This pathway will connect the planned promenades in El Saladillo, which are also under construction, and in the eastern area around the Dos Hermanas urbanization.
The purpose of this project is to provide continuity to the pedestrian route and increase the accessible length of the promenade in the area. In this regard, the plan is to work on a beachfront stretch of approximately 839 meters in the Benamara area, as stated in a press release.
The construction includes the creation of a concrete printed pedestrian path along its entire length, with a width of three meters, in line with the rest of the corridor. The intervention aims to reclaim a longitudinal strip along the beachfront for public use, for pedestrian, bicycle, and light vehicle traffic.
The estimated completion time for this project is six months. With this new section, ”the Estepona coastal corridor project continues to take shape,” which is already 95% completed along the planned route.
Following the recent actions taken in the past months, the City Council has now completed over 21 kilometers of the coastal corridor, ”getting very close to the end of this sustainable and impactful project for the city, which has helped preserve the coastline, enhance its value, and create a new tourist attraction,” they emphasized.
The municipal forecast is for the remaining sections to be completed before the end of the year. The construction of new sections of the coastal corridor continues to attract interest from specialized companies.
In the case of Benamara, a total of 22 companies submitted their proposals for the project, which was ultimately awarded to Transportes y Excavaciones Valle del Sol, S.L. for a contract price of 835,421 euros including VAT, representing a reduction from the initial bidding price of 1.2 million euros including VAT.
