Salado korostaa E1:n Grand Prix -tapahtuman suurta vaikutusta Costa del Soliin Marbellassa

MÁLAGA, June 1 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The president of the Provincial Council of Málaga and Tourism Costa del Sol, Francisco Salado, highlighted the great impact for the province of the celebration this Saturday in Puerto Banús, in Marbella, of the Grand Prix E1.
This Saturday marks the start of the Cívitas Puerto Banús Grand Prix, joining the global venues of E1, the Electric Formula 1 of the Sea, a new sport with the only electric motor authorized by the International Powerboating Union.
The E1 championship is held in 2024 in nine international locations such as Monaco, Hong Kong, Geneva, and Venice, among others, to which Puerto Banús is added this weekend. During this Saturday and Sunday, the ten teams compete led by some of the personalities from the world of sports or entertainment such as Rafa Nadal, Marc Anthony, Sergio Pérez, Didier Drogba, Tom Brady, Steve Aoki, and now Will Smith.
The president of the Provincial Council, who attended the first day accompanied by the President of the Andalusian Government, Juan Manuel Moreno; the Sports and Sustainability councilors, Arturo Bernal and Ramón Fernández-Pacheco; and the Mayor of Marbella, Ángeles Muñoz, celebrated ”Puerto Banús being placed on the international map with all the eyes of fans of this sport on the Costa del Sol”.
He also pointed out that ”both the team members and the captains have over 1.1 billion followers worldwide on their social networks, so this weekend they will be the best ambassadors of Marbella and the province of Málaga”.
”Once again, we are facing a top-level sports event, which demonstrates the ability of the Costa del Sol to face this type of event in terms of logistics and communications, being a new boost to the tourism/sports duo that we always support from Tourism Costa del Sol,” he added.
In this sense, it is expected that 16,000 visitors will attend during the days of the event with an economic impact ranging between 25 and 30 million euros. In fact, 400 hotel rooms have been reserved just for the staff.
Additionally, an impact of 22 million viewers on television, 58 million views on digital television, and 20 million interactions on social media are estimated.
”The province of Málaga proves to be on par with destinations like Monaco, Venice, Hong Kong, Geneva, Jeddah, and Rotterdam, the other venues of this prestigious competition, which would not be possible without institutional collaboration, such as the Marbella City Council, the Association of Municipalities of the Western Costa del Sol, the Andalusian Government, together with the Provincial Council of Málaga,” Salado added.
