Taurine meeting in La Malagueta will be a tribute to Francisco Rivera Paquirri on the 40th anniversary of his death

The Bullfighting Fair of Malaga 2024, from August 14 to 20, will be a tribute to Francisco Rivera Paquirri on the 40th anniversary of his death, with the participation of his son Cayetano Rivera in the Picassiana, one of the five bullfights planned, which also include a mano a mano between Roca Rey and Fortes and the farewell of Enrique Ponce. In addition, there will be a bullfight with picadors and a rejoneo bullfight, and from August 21 to 24, the XVII International Contest of Bullfighting Schools of La Malagueta will take place.
This was announced by the president of the Diputación de Málaga, Francisco Salado, together with the councilor of Festivities of the City Council of Málaga, Teresa Porras; the territorial delegate of Justice and Local Administration of the Junta de Andalucía, Teresa Pardo; and the manager of Lances de Futuro, José María Garzón, during the presentation ceremony at the Isabel Oyarzábal Hall of the Diputación, where some of the performers of the fair, representatives of the different bullfighting groups in the province, and fans were also present.
