The monumental complex of the Alcazaba and Gibralfaro in the capital city of Malaga continues to attract visitors and has already exceeded 515,000 visits in the first quarter, which is 48.55% more than in the same period in 2023.
Specifically, according to data consulted by Europa Press, both the Alcazaba and Gibralfaro together received 512,552 visits from January to March, compared to 347,049 in 2023, which is 168,503 more.
In terms of specific sites, the Alcazaba recorded a total of 285,587 visitors from January to March this year, compared to 209,480 in the same period in 2023. This is an increase of 76,107 visitors, or 36.33%.
Meanwhile, Gibralfaro has received a total of 229,965 visits in the first quarter of the year, which is a 67.16% increase, with 92,396 more visitors than in the same period in 2023, when the number reached 137,569 visits.
