Costa del Sol leads the ranking of coastal tourist areas between January and April 2024 with more than one and a half million hotel guests.

According to the latest Costa del Sol Hotel Business Bulletin, the Costa del Sol has welcomed 1,586,148 travelers so far in 2024, making it the top destination for hotel guests in Spanish coastal areas. In April, there was a positive increase of 15.7% in foreign hotel travelers compared to 2023.

While the number of Spanish travelers has decreased by 2.7% compared to the same period in 2023, the Costa del Sol has seen a significant growth in foreign hotel travelers, surpassing one million guests with a 15.7% increase.

Foreign travelers dominate the market volume, with notable increases from countries such as Poland (64.9%), Ireland (48.5%), Finland (26.9%), and Switzerland (20.2%). Priority markets like the United States (19.3%), the United Kingdom (18.6%), and Germany (10.6%) have also shown growth.

This data highlights the popularity of Costa del Sol as a tourist destination, attracting visitors from around the world. The region’s sunny coast, cultural attractions, and historical sites make it a top choice for travelers seeking a memorable vacation experience. With improved tourism infrastructure and accessibility through airports, Costa del Sol continues to be a preferred destination for tourists.
