Marbellan kaupunki avaa yleisölle polun pätkän Río Realin rannikolla

MARBELLA (MÁLAGA), 3 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Marbella’s Mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, has announced the opening to the public of a section of a boardwalk in the Río Real area that connects the beach with Ignacio Coca street.
The mayor, who visited the project alongside the councilor, Diego López, stated that it is a 250-meter-long wooden walkway, three meters wide, and with over 800 square meters of total surface area.
Muñoz added that, next to the boardwalk, two beach accesses have been created, each with a length of 60 meters. ”The work allows for the environmental recovery and protection of the entire area, respecting the dune cord of the Los Monteros reserve, and also makes it more accessible for residents and visitors who often walk or exercise in this space,” she pointed out.
The mayor specified that ”the boardwalk has been built with northern pine, and twelve LED-type luminaires have been installed to make the entire path safer, along with new urban furniture, while the garden areas have selected plant species that could be recovered and transplanted elsewhere.”
The project is part of a larger initiative that includes a second phase involving irrigation with water from the Marbella Wastewater Treatment Plant (EDAR).
”We continue to advance with the large project that this Government team started a few years ago to make the over 27 kilometers of coastline in the municipality accessible,” explained the mayor, while noting that ”the route can now be taken from San Pedro Alcántara to this point in Los Monteros,” located in the Las Chapas district.
After the summer, Muñoz added, the procedures will begin to extend the boardwalk that runs along the Marbella coast to Bahía Marbella, leaving just over five kilometers to complete the project.
