Electric racing boats have taken to the waters of the coast of Marbella (Málaga) this Saturday on the occasion of the international E1 ’Formula 1 of the Sea’ circuit.
The President of the Andalusian Government, Juanma Moreno, accompanied by the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Arturo Bernal; the Minister of Sustainability, Environment, Blue Economy and also Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development, Ramón Fernández-Pacheco; the Mayor of Marbella, Ángeles Muñoz, and the President of the Málaga Provincial Council, Francisco Salado, attended this event held in Puerto Banús.
This is the only world championship of this new water sport with electric racing boats that, according to the organizers, will mark the beginning of a new era for this modality on the water as it will be held in nine world-renowned locations on various continents, including Puerto Banús in the city of Marbella.
This event, which is expected to have a significant economic impact on the Costa del Sol, also ensures sustainability with initiatives that will help restore coastal, estuarine, and river ecosystems, equality, and innovation with innovative technology leading to more competitive races.
