”This event is already heating up and will project a great image of Marbella on an international level,” said the councilor, reminding that it is an event ”with a great impact, as evidenced by the more than 1.1 billion followers of the leaders of the participating teams,” including Marc Anthony, who will perform this Friday at La Caridad farm as a prelude to the competition, Nadal, Didier Drogba, Tom Bradi, Steve Aoki, and Checo Pérez, whose CEO, Álvaro Buenaventura, was also present at the event. He also encouraged everyone to come to Puerto Banús this weekend, where an area will be set up on the pier area where you can enjoy the show for free.
The Secretary General of Sports in the Andalusian regional government, José María Arrabal, said on his part that this is ”a promising competition for the future because of the values it promotes, including equality and sustainability.” The delegate from Diputación, Juan Rosas, thanked the council for ”the work the city is doing in terms of sports,” noting that the E1 competition ”will improve Marbella’s image through a very innovative discipline that is also the only event held in Spain.”
The CEO of Cívitas Puerto Banús, Juan Núñez, thanked once again for the institutional support for the event, ”which places Marbella on the same level as cities like Monaco, Geneva, or Hong Kong.” He also highlighted the great Spanish representation during the weekend event, with drivers like Cris Lazarraga, Lucas Ordóñez, and Dani Clos. ”The competition can be followed from the beach in Puerto Banús with free access between 10:00 and 20:00, both Saturday and Sunday,” he said.
